Gambaran Umum Sistem Jaringan Wimax

Jaringan Wimax merupakan jaringan berbasis World wide Interoperability for Microwave Access yaitu sebuah jaringan pita lebar dengan akses menggunakan gelombang microwave yang memiliki spesifikasi tertentu.

Aturan regulasi untuk sistem jaringan wimax di Indonesia meliputi:

1. Jaringan Wimax bersifat : Wireless

2. Standard Wimax yang digunakan : 802.16d

3. Penerapannya : Fixed Wireless Application

4. Frequency yang digunakan: 2.3 Ghz and 3.3Ghz

5. Channel Size = 3.5Mhz


Perancangan Jaringan Wimax

Jaringan Wimax merupakan jaringan point to multipoint dengan karakteristik bisa dilakukan dengan kondisi LOS dan NrLOS. Wireless = Interference

IP Centrix

WiMax different from WiFi (Range , coverage, standarized, etc)

Compile the information on a map

Deliver high level network plan

TRG Wimax will be the access part of a large network

Three phases of planning:

Network: Where to locate the equipment?

Base Station: How to plan a BSU?

Subscriber: How to plan a subscriber unit?

Other assumptions and constraints: Frequency bands and allocation, target vendors for main system parts. The end result of a planning session is the following list of deliverables. You should have generated a list of all the equipment that you need to order and install. Estimate “spares” requirements

The Base Station Unit and Subscriber Unit planning detail forms have been completed

You will need to have drawn up an implementation

There are two main phases of BSU planning:

Adjust for CAPACITY
