Garut

What comes in your mind if i told you a city called "GARUT"..?

Garut is a city in West Java that located near Bandung. The distance between Bandung-Garut is not too far, it only taken about 1 hour more. Caused we start our trip from jakarta at 7 O'Clock we arrived in Garut city at 12 O'clock.

The road to the Garut were beautiful scenery, interesting composition between the mountains and hills and combined with rice terraces. 

Darajat Crater (Kawah Darajat)

Kawah Darajat or Darajat Carter is a resort that located in high area. Located in high area and near mountain, no wonder if in this area appears hot spring and the presence of white steam from the earth that rose high into the sky. Today, this area have been completed with waterboom, flower gardens and villas or home stay. Tourism and geo thermal mining is driving economy in this area. 

To reach the location of the crater Darajat, we will meet the asphalt road which was quite nice. We can enjoy beautifull pine forest and farm land that located at road side. The distance from the peak Darajat to Darajat crater less than 5 Km. 

We arrived at 3 o'clock and picked up our belonging to one beautifull villa that had booked. 

Here we can enjoy fresh air and hot spring that near with our villas. It only costs 1.3 millions/ day. This villa quite clean and simple. there is a kitchen and living room plus toilet in the 1st floor. at the 2nd floor it completed with 2 bedroom and family rom with cabin wood. This building is typically sundanese building that combine bamboo arsitecture with modern material.

What's activity ccould we do here?

after took a bath and clean up we make some barbeque and take a night tour to this resort. Night sky and beutifull view of Garut city from mountain is the best cure from daily stress in office.

What else? we can eat some meals such Ubi Cilembu (Sweet potato steam) and corn snack.

in the morning we can go to hot spring and take a tour to the crater or buy some vegetables or fruit such strawberry and cabbage.

Candi Cangkuang (Cangkuang statue)

Cangkuang statue is historical place that located at the center of cangkuang lake. This lake is surrounded by Haruman Mount.

It appears Cangkuang temple stands firmly in the middle of the island. Its size is not too large and there is a statue of Lord Shiva inside it. Apparently this temple came from Hindu royal relics of the eighth century.

The tour guide told us there were now seen the shape of the temple was merely an invention alone. Next to the temple there is the tomb figure called Grandmother Grandparent Dalem Arif Muhammad. 

He was a man who spread the religion of Islam in this region. 

Although all people in this area is moslem but they area still holds many Hindu beliefs, including abstinence work in Wednesday, maintaining the ban on quadrupeds and hit a gong. 

Whatever the reason, this might be a form of Hindu-Islamic acculturation. At this location found many plants Cangkuang (group palmlike) of species Pandanus puratus. That is why this temple is called the Temple Cangkuang.

Here located museum near the cangkuang temple. This museum is not far from Temple Cangkuang. It looks like this museum does not get the attention of local authorities . Still on the same island, there is a unique village called Kampung Pulo. I call it unique because the house is there the amount should not be increased aka remain , namely six houses and one mosque . The sixth house is located opposite the 3-3. Apparently the composition of this house describes the number of children Grandmother Grandparent Dalem Arif Muhammad is 6 girls and 1 boy . According to the story , the boy died so that there now are descendants of girls. Who may occupy the house it was just girls, while boys must occupy in the outer islands. Unique hell but strange as well.

Chocolate gift (Oleh-oleh Chocodot)

Chocodot is a fragment name of "chocolate with dodol Garut". It was changed to "Indonesian Chocolate". This is because the chocolate maker would like to introduce to the world that Indonesia had no less delicious chocolate than chocolate made ??abroad.

Matter of taste, Chocodot have a very diverse variants . Starting from the bitter flavor of dark chocolate, milk chocolate, white chocolate until fruit taste of chocolate. The selection of the name is very unique. "Chocolate anti upset", "Chocolate lightly mate" and "Chocolate for single or couple".

The chocolate contents of dodol (risin cake). Chocodot or chocolate contents of dodol already began fame outside caused special taste.

One of the reasons Chocodot so popular is the chocolate taste that is not too sweet blends nicely with the typical dodol Garut. Once the bite makes addicted. Come to the store Chocodot, visitors can take a cooking class chocolate contents of dodol or simply watch demo making Chocodot. Chocodot shop located at Jalan Otto Iskandardinata No. 2, Pasawahan.

Craft sheepskin (Pengrajin kulit domba)

Craft sheepskin. Prices of products made of leather clothing is notoriously expensive. Usually the product of the animal skin, such as jackets, made of cowhide. Well, in Garut fame with fashion products made from sheepskin. The price is certainly more expensive.

However, the high price commensurate with quality. The texture is very ox and not rigid like cowhide. When held, feels smooth in the hand. Sheep skins usually one year old. Along Jalan Ahmad Yani there are many shops that sell clothing of sheepskin. Stepping into the store, aroma characteristic skin burst. You can shop from jackets, bags, to shoes.

After visiting some tourism object we go culinary to sundanese restaurant. We bring so uch gifts from garut and finally after two day tour in garut we go back to jakarta

Kenapa Anak Muda perlu banyak Jalan-Jalan

Ulasan Pentingnya Wisatawan Domestik

Indonesia adalah pangsa besar dalam industri pariwisata. Tidak perlu wisatawan asingpun sebetulnya kita sendiri sudah bisa menggerakkan ekonomi negara ini mulai sabang sampai papua dengan adanya wisatawan domestik.

Kenapa Anak muda perlu diberi kesempatan untuk jalan-jalan..? karena anak muda adalah penyumbang persentase terbesar wisatawan domestik.

Anak muda adalah mereka-mereka yang masih dalam kondisi aktif dan bugar dalam hal fisik. Keuangan mereka mulai mapan dan mereka memiliki kelebihan yang bisa menjadi penggerak roda ekonomi dan pariwista. Potensi inilah yang tidak dimiliki beberapa usia produktif di Indonesia.

Manusia indonesia tercipta dengan beragam keunikan dan perbedaan.

Beribu alasan kenpa anak muda perlu jalan-jalan. Salah satunya adalah anak muda ini yang nanti akan melanjutkan kepemimpinan dan peradaban di Indonesia. 

Mereka juga yang akan menjadi penerus berbagai kebijakan dibelahan bumi nusantara ini. 

Oleh karena itu mereka perlu melakukan jalan-jalan untuk melihat berbagai realitas yang ada di seluruh penjuru indonesia. Selain itu untuk melihat potensi wisata yang bisa dikembangkan di Indonesia

Analisa Problem

Waktu SD-SMA generasi muda belum memiliki kesempatan jalan-jalan dikarenakan keterbatasan waktu dan dana. Selain itu karena masih dalam pengawasan orang tua dan belum mandiri.

Saat Kuliah usia 19-25 adalah waktu paling optimum untuk jalan-jalan. Hal ini mengingat kebersamaan dan semangat usia muda masih mensupport untuk menjelajahi spot2 pariwisata yang unik di seluruh Indonesia. Kendalanya salah satunya adalah adanya keterbatasan dana. Mengingat mahasiswa belum memiliki dana untuk mandiri.

Potensi Wisatawan domestik Muda usia 18-30 tahun

Di saat awal berkarir selepas kuliah, 3-5 tahun di  awal kerja merupakan saat optimum untuk jalan-jalan. Kenapa?? Saat itu belum ada beban finansial keluarga dan pekerjaan. Mereka bisa berpergian  ke berbagai penjuru indonesia.
Kesenangan anak muda mencari spot-spot wisata yang baru dan mengunggah ke media sosial menjadi trend leader dalam perkembangan pariwisata. Selain itu jumlah generasi muda yang hampir mendominasi wisatawan domestik yang berpergian mengakibatkan adanya pergerakan ekonomi yang cukup signifikan.

Selain penggerak ekonomi wisata, banyaknya anak muda yang melakukan wisata menjadi penyalur budaya dari satu daerah ke daerah lain. Sehingga terjadi komunikasi bukan hanya masalah wisata. Namun masalah kultur dan budaya.

Mereka adalah generasi yang sangat melek media social dan punya influence media sangat tinggi. Dan dari generasi merekalah istilah generasi heitz kekinian datang.

Dan dengan kedatangan mereka ke lokasi pantai2 terpencil tempat wisata yang tersembunyi menjadi bagian penggerak perekonomian daerah. Wisatawan domestik adalah penggerak ekonomi mikro. Mengapa?? Bukankah wisatawan asing penyumbang devisa negara..??

Yup betul sekali namun ga ada ceritanya wisatawan asing beli telur asin sekilo, beli buah merah papua se kerdus atau bawa bolu meranti ke belanda. Jadi siapa yang membeli berbagai kerajinan, kue-kue dan cemilan-cemilan yang dibuat oleh masyarakat kecil?? Wisatawan domestik dan hususnya anak muda.

Inilah potensi yang ada dan perlu dikembangkan oleh pemerintah atau kita sebagai generasi penerus bangsa.

Suggestion

Perlu adanya semacam kalender wisata dimana:

-Potongan harga tiket untuk anak muda yang akan melakukan jalan22

-Prioritas wisatawan domestik
-Scheduling kalender wisata jadi persebaran dan pemerataan wisata tepat dan tidak menumpuk di satu waktu
-Tabungan wisata, bisa dalam bentuk tab berjangka atau kredit
-Prioritas brand wisata (kunjungan) tiap tahunnya. Sehingga income pendapatan daerah bisa optimum.

Mengingat ada beberapa macam alasan seseorang di Indonesia melakukan liburan, maka hendaknya pemerintah perlu mengadakan pemerataan untuk menggenjot persebaran wisatawan. Berikut list hari-hari wisata:
. Hari raya keagamaan
. Libur long weekend
. Libur sekolah
. Libur Nasional
. KKN
. TUgas Kerja
Diluar kalender wisata di atas (week day) hendaknya pemerintah memberikan promo sehingga slot wisata ke berbagai daerah selalu terpenuhi tiap harinya. Dan tidak hanya menumpuk di hari-hari di atas.

Curhat

Dan sebagian besar mereka yang melakukan perjalanan adalah anak2 muda. Belum ada tanggungan keluarga sehat dan masih produktif.
Jadi pemerintah harusnya ngasih prioritas donggg. jangan bule yg menghasilkan devisa aja yang diurusinnnn. 

Terus tuh tourism objjectnya jangan semena-mena dongggg. 

Pengalaman

Dulu sewaktu saya ke dieng plateau, kami mendapatkan sedikit diskriminasi. Sewaktu ada bule (Wisatawan manca negara) datang langsung disambut makanan dan minuman. Dan kami sudah memesan hingga 1 jam namun belum dilayani.
Padahal ketika kami membayar bill Jumlah pembayaran kami jauh melampaui tuh bule2.
Si bule bayar cuman 200 rebu kita habis 350 rebu untuk 5 orang (Maklumm doyan makan) hahahhaha. Tuh kita bayar cash lo n mesti ada acara ngamuk2 dulu.
Ah sudahlah., padahal tempat makan itu yg berada di perempatan n iconic bgt. Tapi sudahlah

Ahhhh apalah tulisan penutup ini kok kedengaran posesif n nyampah hahahhaha

Jayapura Potensi Strategis untuk Pariwista Indonesia timur

Jayapura adalah salah kota besar di Indonesia Timur, dengan berbagai keunikan dan kemajuannya. Jayapura kini mulai berbenah. Sebagai seseorang yang belum pernah menginjakkan kaki di jayapura tentu saya memiliki mimpi yang besar untuk kota ini agar menjadi pintu gerbang kemajuan pariwisata, Industri dan ekonomi di Indonesia Timur.

Ada banyak hal yang bisa menjadi penarik wisatawan untuk berkunjung ke jayapura. Baik itu bisnis, pelayaran, pengiriman barang, wisata dan pendidikan. Ada beberapa kota besar yang bisa diundang untuk membangun bisnis dan berbagai macam aspek di Jayapura. Beberapa diantaranya seperti terurai dari gambar di atas.

Investasi ini hendaknya menciptakan keterikatan yang kuat antara Jayapura dengan kota-kota besar di atas sehingga pembangunan dalam jangka panjang bisa terlaksana. Efek dari majunya kondisi Jayapura  akan membawa kepada kemajuan daerah-daerah terpencil di Papua dan pulau-pulau kecil lainnya.

1. Mimpi adanya Infrastructure Yang Bagus

Harapan saya sama dengan berbagai juta penduduk di papua terutama Jayapura agar adanyainfrastruktur jalan yang bagus di Papua (Jayapura). Jalan raya adalah nafas dan nadi kehidupan masyarakat di sana. Apabila jalan dan transportasi lancar maka ekonomi, pariwisata, pendidikan dan segala kegiatan kemasyarakatan akan berjalan lancar.

Hal yang saya harapkan tersebar secara bagus dan merata bukan hanya jalan yang bagus dan tertata namun ketersediaan listrik, gas, bbm dan air bersih serta transportasi. Rakyat papua berhak juga merasakan transportasi yang maju sama seperti di jakarta.

2. Jayapura Black Fashion Statement

Lihatlah bagaimana super model berkulit hitam seperti tyra banks artis upita nyong O dan will smith merajai hollywood. Saya mempunyai mimpi Jayapura bisa memiliki Fashion district seperti di jalan Riau Bandung.
Kenapa?? Agar rakyat papua Pede dan punya international taste yang bisa menjadi brand yang unik dan keren. Seperti di Manhattan, johanesburg atau New York dimana black community bisa diangkat menjadi suatu tema yang cool unik dan  keren.

3. Pusat Bisnis Perhiasan Internasional

Mimpi saya berikutnya adalah di Jayapura adanya pusat perhiasan dan mode internasional. Kenapa di Jayapura?? Jayapura penghasil bebatuan indah dan memiliki kreatifitas keunikan yang berbeda dari batu perhiasan yang lainnya.
Pusat perhiasan internasional ini juga akan menunjang fashion statement di Jayapura.  Adanya pusat bisnis perhiasan ini akan menjadi destinasi wisata selanjutnya. Kondisi ini seperti yang terjadi pada kota besar seperti Milan dimana orang datang untuk membeli berbagai brand terkemuka, ke martapura mencari berlian, atau berburu mutiara hitam di NTB

4. Dibangunnya Kawasan Industrial, Penelitan, Industri 

Berikut adalah Map dimana saya membuat sugestion dimana dibangun kawasan penelitian, industri, bisnis, pertanian dan ekonomi di area sekitar jayapura. Kenapa hal ini perlu dibangun??

Membandingkan dengan kota bandung, Jayapura bisa memiliki potensi yang sama. Bahkan memiliki potensi yang lebih dengan lokasi serta kekayaan alam nya yang ada.

House of Cendrawasih

Disini landmark pantai yang berupa home stay berbentuk kepala cendrawasih sehingga bisa menjadi potensial tourism object seperti di Santorini dan di sini menjadi tempat tinggal serta pusat wisata, busines dan ekonomi.

Center of University and Laboratory

Centre of University adalah laboratorium yang dibuat sebagai wakil dari berbagai universitas ternama di Jayapura. Laboratorium ini untuk mendatangkan akademisi dan para pendidik untuk mengembangkan sumber daya dan pendidikan di Jayapura.

International Harbour 

Pelauhan internasional disini berfungsi membuka pintu masukpara wisatawan. International harbour membuka pelabuhan untuk wisata baik itu  yacht, cruiser dan kapal-kapal traditional.

Sebagai perbandingannya international harbour ini bisa menjadi pelabuhan seperti di monaco venice dan beberpa lokasi wisata.

International Lake Resort

International lake resort merupakan danau yang di fasilitasi oleh  residential  hotel dan berbagai wahana sehingga bisa menyaingi kawasan wisata seperti di danau batur atau di danau toba. Selain itu disini bisa menjadi kawasan villa yang bagus untuk peristirahatan.

Forest Conservation

Forrest conservation ini diharapkan bisa menarik wisatawan international untuk melihat satwa endemik yang jarang ada di kawasan lain

Selain itu diharapkan bisa dibangun kanopi bridge seperti di langkawai sehingga bisa menarik banyak wisatawan.

International Sport and Fishery

Event2 internasional bisa diadakan disini. Baik untuk olahraga air dan peternakan ikan secara internasional.

Dengan adanya International sport and fishery bisa menjadi pengembang kawasan danau dan lingkungan sekitar

Indonesian Sailor Culture Support Tourism and Economy

Overview

We, as Indonesian have a folk song that told us about aour ancestor. it told that our ancestor was a sailor. We feel proud with them and their glory.
Is it enough just to be a song? No, then, who else who wanna be a sailor right now??

i can guarante less than 10% of Indonesian young people who have a dream job as a sailor.
Is it wrong? No, absolutely it is not

Indonesia as an islands country, still dreaming in skyscrapper and land kingdom. Yes, absolutely yes. Land is promising for live, building and other great job. But dont you realize that hindu budha and islam empire comes from sailor. Big city such Surabaya, Medan, Makassar and Jakarta builded as harbour before sub way and airport exist. Now sailor culture is vanish and forgetten by young people in Indonesian.
Harbour is just like a trade and shipment place and there is no cultural place such before.

So whats the Idea?

I have an idea., about create a place where sailor combine with pop and modern  culture that could be brand of Indonesian Tourism.
I have inspired by city that located in harbour such Venice and Santorini where tourism be a brand for economy live.
So what else could be improve for Indonesia Sailor culture to improve Tourism and Economy??

We must have suspected place where potentially area to be expand.
I choose four outer island (Mentawai Island, Morotai Island, Tanimbar Island and Banda island) that could be a  brand for Indonesian sailor in the future. Why we must build this island to be base of silor culture?

- Because their people is island people that familiar with sailor tradition and ocean.
-The main problem in our country is infrastructure, such electricity, clean water, road, transportation     and education.
 So this islands could be the next big cities that supported island around.
-The strategic place

Banda Island near with Asia country
Tanimbar near with Australia, New zealand New Guinea and Oceania island
Morotai island near with Japan, Fillipine and Hawaii, and another oceania island that owned by europe country
Mentawai Island near with international resort such maldives and big country such India and Dubai

How to improve?

Cultural
We can improve this island with sailor cultural by add some value such :
-Build fashion statement of sailor to the people who live there
-Give education of sailor to young generation
-Open cultural program to transfer knowledge from another cities that have sailor base

Infrastructure
-Build harbour that opened for tourism and shipment
-Open market and business trader
-Build good acsess road, residential and electricity
-Build ship, yacht and traditional ship

Tourism
-Coordinate with big cities that located near this island to create cultural and tourism date
-create national and international event that attract people to sail to this islands
-Open creative industry that based sailor such water performance, book event or sailor march
- Follow international tour program that invite big cruise ship to come and attend to this islands

Economy
-Investment in long term and short term such residential, electronic and  education for young people  over there
- Build a industrial island that located near this island to support logistic, garment and all anything in this four island
- Build a long term investment such a industrial shipment or fishery so people still survive whenever tourism trend is down
- Investment by create connectivity this four island with main land such brand product that speciallized from this islands so people have always attracted to this islands.

Ramadhan In Indonesia 1433 H

Marhaban ya ramadhan. Welcome Ramadhan

Today, we are celabrating a holy month that called "Ramadhan". Ramadhan is a special month for muslim in every world. All Muslim people greeted this month with joyfull and happiness.

In many different place ramadhan have special tradition that made it speacialthan other place and no one like it. In Indonesia, as a one of the largest Muslim population in the world. We are also celebrate ramadhan . We are doing fast, pray and other islamic rites tradition.

In Indonesian when the first day of ramadhan come, it's the sign that all muslim are fasting. We can see the different atmosphere in Indonesia when ramadhan comes.

First There are rising prices of basic commodities and the need for food are increases.

Second In line with the coming of holy month Ramadan all the television channel and radio, advertise about Islamic activity and ramadhan activity.

When you come here to Indonesian Market You'll find new trend2 of new clothes, veil, hijab, jilbab saruung and Islamic acessoris.

At the last in ramadhan, we can find Islamic chairity, zakat, and education visits to orphanages and other social activities will exposure in every where. And mosque will full of child, teenager and parents that doing islamic activity.

If you come to Indonesia in holy month Ramadhan you'll find food court, cafe little hard than usual cause it just open in morning and after noon. They just open nearly buka times (iftar times) in the evening. Every activities will start late noon and finish before evening.

During the holy ramadhan, some places of entertainment were closed as karaoke, movie etc.

As other Muslim people in different countries, islamic people in Indonesia use their day in holy month to do some religious activity. Reading al-quran and sunnah, islamic book doing sahuur, Iftar and Taraweeh are some activities that we always do in holy month

What else can we do in ramadhan that can be useful thing in holy ramadhan beside doing islamic activities?

Yea we have lot of activity :)

Sahur time

Sahur is a special rites that we do before subuh (morning pray/ sholah). Here an activity eating some meal that mark the beginning of the fasting ritual and is performed before the morning prayers.

To awaken people to eat the meal of sahuur, we have some tradition that done by teenager. They usually come from one place to other in one area by walk. They make a noise sound by hitting the bamboo stick, drum, or bottle to wake up the people. They make some variation tone, lyrics that combine with sahuur.. sahuur call as loud. In some place this activity is organized to one competition or event.

Taraweeh

Taraweeh is a main activity as fasting in holy month. It's not must order in islam or "sunnah" but in holy month every people compete to get the reward from God as a better muslim by do additional prayer. So we do a lot of religious activity.

Taraweeh worship done as a form of practice or sunnah prayers after routine pray in night (shalah isya'). Indonesian Muslims usually do it in a nearby mosque.

Ngabuburit (spend time to find ifthar with friend in mosque, street or market)

Ngabuburit is a tradition to wait for breaking the fast with positive activities like walk out with friends, listening to islamic lectures, buying out some iftar meals and other activities that are positive.

Ngabuburit in the beginning was the tradition that come from West Java (Bandung) Sunda region that spreads to the rest of Indonesia today. At the past the people wait the breaking the fast with fishing, go to the fild and do outdoor activity with friend or relatives together.

But today we usually do in Mosque, Mall, Food court or Market. There are some place that nearby mosque or field that sell ifthar food that called "Ramadhan Market", this market supporting the ngabuburit tradition.

Ifthar/ Ta'jil or Buka puasa

We can find speciall food in another islamic country when ramadhan comes for breaking the fast. The most commonly are tamr. kurma or dates the fruit that origin from middle east area (Egypt, Saudi Arabia and another country). So what is Indonesian people eat for breaking the fast in holy month.??

Wait and see.

1. Dates

Date, kurma/tamr is a mainly menu for us to breaking the fast. It's comes from religiously reason to follow our prophet s.a. by eating dates. So how you cna find it in Indonesia??
As tropical country in wet climate we can't growth dates tree in our country so we imported it. They served it in super market and other just accidentally when ramadhan comes. in usual month we are really rare to find dates especially we find in arab town as chinese town.

2. Drink (Fruit Soup, Cendol, kolak, candil, dawet)

here the most favourite drink when romadhan comes in our country,

Fruit soup

this soup is consist of some fruit (apple, pear, dragon fruit etc) that shaped cube and pour with milk and syrup water. for the topping we put some grilled ice on it

Cendol

Cendol is a kind of drink that made from a jelly and cocounut milk with sweetenest from palm sugar.
It has sweet and nicely taste completed with some fruit or ice cube.

Kolak
Kolak is kind of soup that made from cocounat milk, boiled with banana, cassava, or squash and use pandan leaves to make it smell good.it's served in warm dishes.

Candil, dawet, bajigur, pisng ijo ice, soda shake, juice is another kind choice whenever you want to drink.

3. Gorengan "Fried meals"

Goriengan is kind of fried meals that usally eating as a completed rice. But you also can eat it directly. Gorengan is kind of Fried tofu, fried tempeh, risoles, bakwan, bala2/ wecih and other kind of fried creation.

The main part that make gorengan is different from other are, it's use flour to cover up tofu, tempe and other kind of meal before it fried on the pan. IWe use fresh chilli (yhe green chili that's not too hot) for completed.

That's all kind of meals are supper/ desert for us that just eaten before or after main meals before maghrib times. And after shalah maghrib we usually have main meals to eat.

Food

What kind of main meals that showed if ramadhanand holy month comes?? here we are.

At usual in daily live Indonesian people eat rice as staple food and vegetables or meat as completed. In holy month ramadhan we have special food that's usually made to make the holy month event more special.

1. Opor Ayam

"Opor " is indonesian traditional food that especially serve in holy month. This meal made from chicken that combine with spices, coconut milk and other kind ingridient that smell good.

2. Rendang/ Gule

it's kind of meal that special from padang. hmmm so delicious. i don't know the exactly ingridients but i know the exactly taste :D

3. Ketupat, lemang, lepet etc

it's kind of food from rice that wrapped by coconut leves.. and boiled. Lemang boiled in bamboo stick. This kind of food are have similarities with lontong, lupis, lepet etc.

4. Nasi uduk/ nasi kuning

This kind of rice is delicious it has similarities with nasi lemak in malaysia. this rice is smell good and taste so delicious cos it cooked with pandan leaves and coconut milk.

Lebaran Cake

At the end of holy month, Indonesian people have a tradition to make or buying cake, biscuits, bread and other kind of cake to face Idul Fitri a holy day as a sign of finishing Holy month "Ramadhan".

This kind of food is specially made to sserve when our relatives, friend and neighbour comes to our home. In Idul fitri Indonesian people have a tradition to visit others. It will last from Idul fitri until a month. This kind of visit others in Idul fitri called "Halal bi halal" or some kind in government or speciall person they have "open house" for a big a mount visitor.

So what we do when we visit others??

We get hand shake with others and take forgive each other. Next we say blessing in celebrate Idul Fitr. In other country they usually say "Id mubarak" in Indonesia we can say "selamat idul fitri" and "Mohon maaf lahir dan batin". Or in arabic language that familiar sound "Taqabalallahu minna wa minkum, shiyamana wa shiyamukum"

Hmmm what we do after that?? We can eat some cake and drink marshmallow, sweeten cake, snow white cake, cocochip, red velvet, bolu, rainbow cake and other

"Angpau" (money gift to child)

When Idul fitri comes we have tradition to visit each others to say forgive with family, relatives and neighbour. Inthis occasion an old people usally give money to little child to show grant whenever they can finish fasting a month.

Angpau is a name that get from chinese tradition to give money in imlek celebration. we can give in small nominal or big account.

Fire Works

In holy month ramadhan and idul fitri you can find a seller of fire work "petasan" and "mercoon" in every part from sabang till merauke. this tradition is sometimes dangerous coz it can hurt by it's explotion.

Mudik

Mudik is kind of tradition Idul fitri of Muslim in south east asia. This tradition is come from basically root moral to celebrate holy day "idul fitr" with family in your parents home. So when ramadhan will finish in H-7 yu'll find traffic jam in every where. All ticket of bus, train, plane will full booked and the price is o more expensive.

Mudik is similarities you go back to village to your parents home to celebrate Idul Fitr. So in Idul fitri day you'll find big city as Surabaya, Jakart, Medan and Makassar more quite than days before cause the people go back to their village.

Shopping new dress and clothes (hijab, jilbab, dress, baju koko, saroong, mukena etc) :D

This kind of tradition is come from prophet s.a. say that we are ordered to use our best clothes, dress in holy day "Idul Fitr".

So in idul fitr we can find all store, factory outlet give discount in this peak seson. I 'll like to buy before idul fitr comes cause it'll easy to buy something than in this D Day :"D
